- Weekend 2 will be from Friday 22nd until Sunday 24th January 2016

- Both weekends will see racing on the track at Hampton Downs Motorsport Park.

- There will be 10 classes of cars on track for the Festival, plus on track demonstrations of some rare Porsches.

An Outline of Events & Activities by day is as follows:

Thursday 14 Jan 16 –

Competitors unload race cars at the track and build their Pits. Driver documentation and scrutineering begins at 1230. Track familiarisation for new-to-Hampton Downs drivers starts at 1330 (1.30 pm) after which there will be track familiarisation and car testing (not practice).

Friday 15 Jan 16 –

Documentation and scrutineering will begin at 0730. Driver's brief begins at 0800 'sharp' in Hamptons Conference venue in the Pit Paddock.

At 0900, 15 minute practice sessions begin for each of the 10 race classes and will run throughout the morning.

At 1215 lunchtime, there will be a Parade of Porsche cars, a Porsche race car demonstration, followed by a 1 lap 3-car 'Porsche Pursuit' (come and see it !). The lunchtime session will conclude with 'Track Laps' for European Motors Ltd - Porsche clients.

After lunch, 15 minute qualifying sessions will be held for most of the 10 race classes (F5000/F1 have elected to do a second practice session).

Around mid-afternoon a 6 lap on-track demonstration will be held with selected Porsche cars.

Saturday 16 Jan 16 –

The first race will begin at 0900. There will be one 8-lap race for 9 race classes in the morning and a race for all 10 classes in the afternoon. Note that the F5000/F1 class will have qualifying in the morning and a race in the afternoon.

There will be one demonstration run of 6 laps by special cars/drivers in selected Porsche cars in the afternoon.

After match drinks and food will be available from 5.30pm at Hamptons Conference Centre for a 'Le Mans ' themed function. Entry will be by ticket at a cost $50 which will include a Buffet meal . Tickets will be available on www.nzfmr.co.nz - click on 'Tickets'. A cash bar will be in operation. There will be a light-hearted session conducted by our MCs with a theme of 'Le Mans' and with personalities that will hopefully include Howden Ganley, Bill Farmer, Greg Murphy, Brendon Hartley and Earl Bamber. There may even be an auction of a 911 RSR 'spec' that saw action in the Sports Sedan race class of the 1980s.

Sunday 17 Jan 16 –

Racing begins for the day at 0900 and 9 of the 10 race classes will get two 8 lap races thoughout the day. The F5000/F1 class will have an 8 lap race in the morning and a 15 lap race in the afternoon.

At lunchtime there will be an attempt at breaking the record for the most number of Porsche cars assemble on a track in New Zealand.

A 6 lap demonstration of cars will be held in the afternoon as for Sat 16 Jan 16.

Racing will continue in the afternoon.

Thursday 21 Jan 16 –

Saturday 23 Jan 16 –

Racing will commence at 0900.

There will be races for all 10 race classes in the morning.

At 1215 lunchtime, there will be a Parade of Porsche cars, a Porsche race car demonstration, followed by a 1 lap 3-car 'Porsche Pursuit' (come and see it !). The lunchtime session will conclude with 'Track Laps' for European Motors Ltd - Porsche clients

After lunch, there will be races for all 10 race classes.

After match drinks and food will be available from 5.30pm at Hamptons Conference Centre for a 'Porsche Racers ' themed function. Entry will be by ticket at a cost $50 which will include a Buffet meal. Tickets will be available on www.nzfmr.co.nz - click on 'Tickets'. A cash bar will be in operation. It is intended that selected past and present Porsche drivers will be on stage for a light-hearted session - these may include Howden Ganley, Ray Williams, Bill Farmer, Greg Murphy, Brendon Hartley and Earl Bamber and many others who get close to the watchful eyes of our two MCs.

Sunday 24 Jan 16 –

Racing begins at 0900. There will be races for each of the 10 race classes in the morning.

At 1215 lunchtime, there will be a Parade of Porsche cars, a Porsche race car demonstration, followed by a 1 lap 3-car 'Porsche Pursuit' (come and see it !). The lunchtime session will conclude with 'Track Laps' for European Motors Ltd - Porsche clients.

Subject to good weather at the time, there may be a brief aerobatic display by a NZ Warbirds WW2 Spitfire fighter aircraft.

In the afternoon there will races for each of the 10 race classes including a 1 Hour Endurance race.

There will be one demonstration run of 6 laps by selected special cars/drivers in selected Porsche cars in the afternoon.

Racing is expected to finish by about 5.30pm and this will be immediately followed by a brief Prizegiving at 'Hamptons'.
