The annual Diwali Fair is considered to be Victoria's largest Diwali Festival celebration event. Held at the Sandown Racecourse, this family friendly event is alcohol free and runs from 11:30am to 9:30pm. It consists of a live entertainment & multicultural program, a huge range of market stalls - selling everything from arts & crafts to music and DVDs, rides & attractions for the kids and concludes in the evening with a spectacular fireworks display.

Hosted by the Bihar Jharkhand Sabha of Australia and New Zealand, Diwali Milan is an Australia wide event. Members of the Melbourne Chapter will be hosting the family friendly Diwali Milan event at Camberwell Central Bowls Club this year and throughout the afternoon, there will be traditional foods served and a range of activities for the whole family to participate in.

Diwali Festival celebrations at Federation Square are always a major attraction in the City of Melbourne and this year, the organisers, Celebrate India, present their largest event yet. The free family event will run from 11am right through to 9:30pm. Program highlights include the free screenings of Bollywood hits on the Fed Sq Big Screen, the bazaar and food stalls, the Open Bollywood Dance workshop, Meet & Greet AFL players & workshop event, live entertainment & multicultural program - including a special performance from the Sidi Goma Dance Troupe and a fireworks display on the Yarra.

GAV Diwali is hosted by the Gujarati Association of Victoria and is another great family friendly community event. It differs from the other Diwali Festival celebration events as it is ticketed and is more of a dinner/dance function, as guests will be treated to a banquet dinner and a variety of entertainment on the evening - from a magic show to a Bollywood dance performance.
