MIAF 2012 hits the screen with eight days of the best new animation combined with a diverse collection of themed, retrospective and special programs. Held in June at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image, MIAF will undoubtedly become the centre of the international animation universe! Oh yeah! We'll introduce our audience to a comprehensive line-up from award winners, outstanding industry veterans, inspiring independents, stupendous studios and those wonderful newcomers exploring their talent on screen for the very first time. Animation production and consumption has continued to grow as animation itself has become ever more prevalent and visible
in recent years. In parallel, the field of animation studies has expanded excitingly and dramatically, bringing together scholars
from a variety of disciplines. The SAS conference will provide a forum for scholars and practitioners from around the world to come together and give presentations on all aspects of animation history, theory and criticism.
