Friends Talk: Classical Music Program, Thursday 3 December 2015

We are delighted to invite you to the second Friends Talk for the 2016 Perth Festival. This is a free event for Friends and you are welcome to bring a guest.

The talk is a wonderful opportunity to discover more about the musical highlights of the Festival whether you are a music devotee or keen to learn more about the music program.

Christopher van Tuinen, Program Manager: Classical Manager, will present an overview of the whole musical feast that is part of the Festival, and give a brief background to the performances and artists – with musical excerpts.

The Festival in Focus Talks are designed to engage the Friends with the Festival program and give you the opportunity to meet Program staff. Refreshments will be served and a cash bar will be open after the talk so please come and mingle with other Friends before or after the talk.

Friends Talk: Festival Film Program, Wednesday 18 November 2015

We are delighted to invite you to the first Friends Talk for the 2016 Perth International Arts Festival. This is a free event for Friends of the Festival and you are welcome to bring a guest.

This talk will be an opportunity to hear from Tom Vincent and he will be giving information and insight into his first Film Program. We met Tom last year and he comes to Perth from Bradford in the UK where he worked for the National Media Museum. He was Co-Director for the Museum’s film festival and programmed for the three cinemas in the Museum.

Tom will talk about the first half of the film program which has been released. Film trailers will also be screened, to give a further insight into the program which begins on Monday 23 November at UWA Somerville and Tuesday 26 November at ECU Joondalup Pines.

The Friends Talks are designed to engage the Friends of the Festival with the Festival program and give you the opportunity to meet Festival Program staff.

Refreshments will be served and a cash bar will be open after the talk so please come and mingle with other Friends before or after the talk.
